The Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles (TECO-LA) is pleased to announce that it is currently accepting applications for the 2023 Ministry of Education (MOE) Taiwan Scholarship and Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) to study in Taiwan.

The Taiwan Scholarship Program is designated to encourage promising students with US citizenship to pursue their degree studies in Taiwan. The award period for each study program varies: 4 years for the Doctorate/Undergraduate Program and 2 years for the Master’s Program.

The Ministry of Education established the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) Program to encourage U.S. students and individuals to study Mandarin Chinese language, aka Huayu, in Taiwan. The Program also provides an excellent opportunity for international students to enhance their language skills and gain new cultural experiences by being immersed in a native speaking environment. Recipients will be granted scholarships award periods of 12, 9, 6, or 3 months, and 2 months for the summer program.
