Taiwan cities have once again been ranked as some of the best in the world in the 2023 QS Best Student Cities Rankings. Both Taipei and Hsinchu ranked in the top 20 of Asia, while Tainan and Taichung appear on the list for the first time ever!
Taiwan also excels in "employer activity" under the evaluation indicators of the QS rankings. Taiwan has various industries such as IT, technology, finance, news, international trade and the well-developed semiconductor industry, which provide abundant employment opportunities for global talents. International students in Taiwan claim, "the locals are very friendly and are willing to help."
The QS analysis noted that Taiwan's strengths lie in a high quality of life with an 'extremely' approachable cost of living, unique cityscapes and world-class education. In 2023, Taiwan will have 26 universities in the QS University Rankings, 15 of which rank in the top 1000, making Taiwan one of the leading higher education centers in Asia.
