2023 Pre-med Enhancement Winter Program is organized and held from Dec 18, 2023 to Jan 5, 2024. This is a 3-week pre-med professional program designed to provide a unique and enhanced learning experience for students planning to apply to medical schools.
A brief overview of the program is as follows:
- Face-to-face introductory lectures on integrated basic medical sciences and hands-on clinical experiences in a simulation-based environment, including clinical shadowing at a major medical center.
- The clinical shadowing at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital will offer clinical observation in various real-world clinical settings, with a clinical virtual reality/3D printed object demonstration included in the program.
- Students will have the opportunity to explore Traditional Chinese Medicine through virtual reality, prepare herbal tea medicine based on individual constitution, as well as practice manual therapy (tui na, 推拿), acupuncture, and a modernized form of traditional pulse/tongue diagnosis.
- Additional cultural experiences include Taiwan culture tours, a Christmas party, and the Taipei 101 New Year fireworks.
