1. Each applicant must process first their application for their preferred university in Taiwan. They also have to comply with and submit necessary scholarship requirements to TECO for review and recommendation based on the indicated deadline. It is important to note that a student is ineligible to apply if he or she is currently enrolled in another program in Taiwan.
2. All documents must be submitted to the embassy in hardcopies. For applicants outside Metro Manila, applications may be sent through an authorized representative or courier (LBC, 2GO, JRS Express or FedEx and DHL for international shipping). We will NOT accept applications sent via Lalamove, Grab Express, Mr. Speedy and other similar services.
3.All scholarship applicants must also apply separately for admission to a Mandarin Language
Center at a university in Taiwan following each center’s regulations. Once a student is
successfully awarded the HES scholarship, he/she must submit a copy of the admissions letter or
enrollment permit from the Mandarin Language Center to our office by the following date:
• Sunday, June 30, 2024
Scholarship recipients who do not send their admissions letter by these deadlines will be
disqualified from the scholarship selection process.
