The Manila Economic and Cultural Office – Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (MECO-TECO) Sandwich Scholarship Program (SSP) for the year 2024 is now open and is accepting applications until 15 March 2024. The SSP aims to provide opportunity to Filipino MS and PhD students to conduct their research in a reputable university or research institution in Taiwan.
The SSP is a MECO-TECO collaborative undertaking being implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) of Taiwan. The SSP is open to MS and PhD students who wish to perform their thesis/dissertation in Taiwan in the fields of Natural Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering and Chemistry. For SY 2024, there are ten (10) available SSP slots.
The start of the Sandwich Program in Taiwan must be in September 2024. Interested applicants may communicate directly with the International Technology Cooperation Unit (ITCU) located at 3rd Floor, DOST Main Bldg., DOST Compound, General Santos Avenue, Bicutan, Taguig City or through email at itcu-mail@dost.gov.ph / dostssp.mecoteco@gmail.com.
