In 2011, the Ministry of Education (MOE) proposed the ‘Primary and Secondary International Education White Paper’, also known as IE1.0. In 2020, with the vision of connecting Taiwan schools with the world, the MOE announced IE2.0 of which the three goals are:
1. Fostering global citizens
2. Promoting education internationalization
3. Expanding global exchanges
In order to expand global exchanges, the MOE creates an information and matching platform – International Exchange Window (IEW) to bridge Taiwan’s schools and international partners. It is recognized as the most innovative device of IE2.0.
