The Ministry of Education (MOE) in Taiwan provides subsidies to encourage trained language teaching personnel to teach Mandarin overseas. The MOE shall:
- subsidize the living costs for the teacher/ assistant for one year (teacher: 1,700 USD/month; assistant: 500 USD/month)
- help to recruit trained and qualified teaching personnel.
