The National Taipei University (NTPU) in Taiwan is a public research university that focuses on innovation, diversity, and social responsibility. They are currently accepting applications for their Bachelor Program in Innovative Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (ITCSL) for Fall 2024.
This program is the first of its kind in Taiwan, designed for international students interested in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The curriculum spans four years, courses are available for international students with varying levels of Chinese proficiency from CEFR A2-C.
In addition, with the aim of developing a digital teaching system, a variety of courses on digital teaching strategies are offered annually.
The program not only enhances students' Chinese language and teaching abilities but also offers a wide array of resources from different faculties at NTPU. This includes resources related to Chinese language teaching, business management, tourism, and cultural exchange, making it a comprehensive choice for international students looking to build careers in Chinese-speaking regions.
Applicants with at least a CEFR A2 proficiency in Mandarin and a high school diploma are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is March 29.
