The National Taipei University (NTPU) in Taiwan is a public research university that focuses on innovation, diversity, and social responsibility. They are currently accepting applications for their Bachelor Program in Innovative Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (ITCSL) for Spring 2024.
This program is the first of its kind in Taiwan, designed for international students interested in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The curriculum spans four years, with the first two years dedicated to improving students' Chinese language proficiency and the latter two years allowing students to choose courses aligned with their interests and acquire relevant professional skills.
The program not only enhances students' Chinese language and teaching abilities but also offers a wide array of resources from different faculties at NTPU. This includes resources related to Chinese language teaching, business management, tourism, and cultural exchange, making it a comprehensive choice for international students looking to build careers in Chinese-speaking regions.
Applicants with at least CEFR A2 proficiency in Mandarin and a high school diploma are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is October 31.
